Re: Disk space check that alert on % rate off growth
I completely agree, running reports on all those devices would be rather silly, and a whole lot of work. I should have been more specific, but I was going to ask if he has a plugin or could add it to his list, not create additional reports. I will report back when I have an update for you!

Re: Installation problems
Another possible issue I didn't initally think of is SElinux. Check the status with: sestatus If it is enabled and enforcing, please disabled it and restart httpd with setenforce 0;service httpd restart If this does not resolve the issue, modify /etc/selinux/config to selinux=disabled and restart th...

Re: Installation problems
I have followed that same guide in the past and it certainly should work. At this point, I would still refer to checking the config files as you have them configured per point 7 in that guide. Please post the results if there are any errors. The initial web page and login is entirely handled by apac...

Re: Failed Migration :: Dif Version Nagios, Dif Version OS
root@dogwood:~# /etc/nagios3/nagios.cfg restart The above command is trying to execute the cfg file as though it was a binary, which it is not, just text. Being that you are on Ubuntu, you should be able to start\stop\restart nagios using the service command or as you did to test the config with na...

Re: Installation problems
As twelsh mentioned, please make sure that your config files are correct and pointed at correctly from nagios.cfg. You may also try verifying your configuration is correct with the below command. /usr/local/nagios/bin/nagios -v [location of nagios.cfg] generally on a standard install nagios.cfg will...

Re: Disk space check that alert on % rate off growth
Hi twelsh, This is an excellent question! Nagios XI does contain the ability to extrapolate various usage statistics through existing data. It is actually built into the reporting section. To my knowledge, we do not currently have a plugin to create warnings off the projected data. Without reading t...

Re: check_nt!MEMUSE showing wrong info
Hi lafargeuser, This script definitely would work for a linux host that you might try to monitor. You would need to install a version of NRPE on the machine and have this script locally there. Nagios then can schedule a check where it executes this and collects the results from the remote host. Base...

Re: Advise - VMWare - NAT/Bridged
Firstly, using two interfaces as you had tried, probably will not work as expected. Because they can both end up routing into the same address space your machine could be simply getting confused on which interface to actually send on. Also, you most likely will not need to switch from NATed to bridg...
