Re: Unable to get output on custom check

Can you share the complete contents of check_oracle.pl? It may be that the script is writing to something other than stdout, which is what Nagios reads for status information.

Re: Check MS SQL Stored Procedure

You might also check the output of which perl executed from both root and the nagios user to make sure the script's shebang is pointing to the correct executable.

Re: Check MS SQL Stored Procedure

I can't even get check_mssql_sproc_parameters to connect to my SQL Server database: [root@nagios libexec]# ./check_mssql_sproc_parameters.pl -H 1.1.1.1,1433 -d database -u username -P password -p "get_gpa_stats_all @calendarID=57" -w 1 -c 2 DBI connect('Driver={ODBC Driver 11 for SQL Serve...

Re: Pfsense ipsec tunnel status monitoring in nagios

Unfortunately, I was unable to find a step-by-step guide. Some intuition and research will be needed. I unfortunately do not have a pfSense device to test against.

Re: Nagios Core Nrpeinstallation concern

If you encounter specific problems at any of those steps, please share any console output produced. We would need to see what error those commands are producing to offer any insight.

Does this machine have regular access to the internet? Does it go through a proxy?

Re: Dynamic IP host monitoring

Two options that come to mind:

Have the host submit passive checks to Nagios XI. NCPA and NSClient++ both have native options for passive checks.

Leverage a DNS record for the host.

Re: External command log location

I would double check your main configuration settings to ensure log_external_commands is set to 1. More info: https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagioscore/docs/nagioscore/4/en/configmain.html#log_external_commands I think NRDP just chucks them into the external commands spooler, which should be lo...
