The first command failed with the following result:
MIB search path: /root/.snmp/mibs:/usr/share/snmp/mibs
Cannot find module (F5-BIGIP-GLOBAL-MIB): At line 0 in (none)
F5-BIGIP-GLOBAL-MIB::gtmServerStatusAvailState: Unknown Object Identifier

The second two returned blank.

I don't see anything in var/log having to do with the f5, is there any file/directory within var/log in particular I should be looking in?

That indeed fixed the issue. Nagios was sort of dropped into my lap as a very old core install, I opted to upgrade it to XI (via migration) so that we were current with patches, etc. and now here I am sort of learning as I go.

Thanks for the suggestion, not sure what happened but re-issuing the keypair and re-adding that to the host fixed the issue.
