Re: F5 Check Failing

Thanks Perry, I copied the extracted files and here's the output: [root@NAGIOSXI mibs]# snmpwalk -v 2c -c [snmp-string] [IP Address] F5-BIGIP-GLOBAL-MIB::gtmServerStatusAvailState F5-BIGIP-GLOBAL-MIB::gtmServerStatusAvailState."/Common/F5-1" = INTEGER: green(1) F5-BIGIP-GLOBAL-MIB::gtmServ...

Re: F5 Check Failing

Thanks Perry,

Am I dropping the whole tar into that directory or one of the contained files?

Thanks!

Re: F5 Check Failing

Hi Perry,

The first command failed with the following result:
MIB search path: /root/.snmp/mibs:/usr/share/snmp/mibs
Cannot find module (F5-BIGIP-GLOBAL-MIB): At line 0 in (none)
F5-BIGIP-GLOBAL-MIB::gtmServerStatusAvailState: Unknown Object Identifier

The second two returned blank.

Thanks!

Re: F5 Check Failing

Hey Perry,

I don't see anything in var/log having to do with the f5, is there any file/directory within var/log in particular I should be looking in?

Thanks!

Re: F5 Check Failing

Hi Perry, Thanks for the response, and sorry for the delay. Here's the output of both, I've redacted the string, ip and hostnames like before, but they're proper in the output. [root@NagiosXI ~]# bash -v /usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_snmp_gtm_server.sh [snmp string] [ip] [host] #!/bin/bash # # Thi...

F5 Check Failing

Hello, We have a couple checks that look at an F5 load balancer pair, on this new instance of Nagios XI it fails, on the old version of Core it works just fine. The F5's are configured to allow SNMP access from the entire subnet, so I don't believe that allowance is part of the issue. Here's the com...

Re: Deploying notification settings to user/users and URL qu

Thanks Benjamin,

That indeed fixed the issue. Nagios was sort of dropped into my lap as a very old core install, I opted to upgrade it to XI (via migration) so that we were current with patches, etc. and now here I am :) sort of learning as I go.

Thanks again!

Re: Deploying notification settings to user/users and URL qu

Hi Benjamin, Thanks for the info. I mentioned in the original post that I have already tried creating and assigning a brand new timeperiod through the CCM. The same error persists. My system profile is attached here, the user in question is 'adaayl'. I will look into the variables for my alerts, tha...

Deploying notification settings to user/users and URL ques.

Hello, Our Nagios instance setup is complete and I'm trying to enable notifications system wide. Notifications are enabled for all hosts, but not for users and host groups (I think). When I go into the notification settings to deploy the notification prefs to my account to test notifications before ...

Re: SSH Check monitor fails, but works manually via CLI

Hi Perry,

Thanks for the suggestion, not sure what happened but re-issuing the keypair and re-adding that to the host fixed the issue.
