Re: Problems installing NLS on RHEL8.9
To be honest, I think this one might require using a support call. https://answerhub.nagios.com/support/s/

Re: NLS goes to hung mode every 2 hours
Good to know! To be honest, I'm not certain that Elasticsearch is meant to be used in the manner you're using it (with two nodes of the cluster divided across data centers. Personally I like the idea for availability, but I'm just not sure its officially supported for that. Its great that adjusting ...

Re: Gateway Timeout logging in to Nagios Log Server
We're working to make the migration as painless as we can, but it won't be completely pain free because of the huge jump from Elasticsearch 1.7.6 in the current NLS product. Those details are being worked on at the moment.

Re: Upgrade to Nagios 2024R1.1.1 fails with SQL root password issue
The root password should be the mysqlpass value in the xi-sys.cfg file. MariaDB is a fork of MySQL and the two are often used interchangeably. For this purpose they're equivalent. Re: Nagiosxi SNMPWALK issue
Let's try the snmpwalk again and increase the timeout. Add the -t parameter to it like so:
The number after the t is the number of seconds. Per https://linux.die.net/man/1/snmpcmd, the default is 1 second.
Code: Select all
snmpwalk -t 5 -c public -v1 10.0.64.14

Re: Nagiosxi SNMPWALK issue
Let's see if the printer is accessible. first try pinging it, or going to its web interface in a browser. Assuming that works, install a port scanning tool (temporarily if you need to due to policies) on your XI server. My personal choice is nmap, and it is what I'll use for the example. Scan port 1...

Re: Gateway Timeout logging in to Nagios Log Server
We're working on Updating the back end stack of the software from the old version of ElasticSearch to Opensearch. I can't commit to timeframes, but it's coming.

Re: Azure SQL Elastic pool Monitoring possible?
Are you saying that Azure uses a GUID instead of "sys.dm_os_performance_counters" or a GUID instead of something else?
