Yes. You'll probably need to write a custom filter rule to properly handle the date formatting presented by these logs. We can assist with that if needed. I just want to be sure that we can at least get the logs going to the right place first.

I wouldn't suggest making the timeout value for check_nrpe much larger than the check interval at which it is executed....

You should be able to overload the check_command inherited by the template once the wizard is finished. That would allow you to leverage a check_http command which uses the correct port.
