Re: Assistance with finishing up a plugin
What was the final solution, it may help others in the future. I'm revisiting this, as I wanted to add things like perf data for things etc. It's very odd... I can run the script/plugin manually from CLI on my Linux machine, but when I run the crobjob command for NRDS to execute the script, I get a...

Re: Notification formatting question
Just to add to this, I found this post: https://support.nagios.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6489&p=29429 Per Scott's suggestions here, I confirmed that "Allow HTML Tags in Host/Service Status" is enabled. And I write to wrap %longserviceoutput% with <pre> </pre> -- it just formatts the te...

Notification formatting question, line breaks in email
Hi there, I'm trying to get the long service output from a check plugin into the email notification alerts. This is what the plugin looks like after a proper check http://i.imgur.com/YxUaaSP.jpg Normally, I get an email with the text in the red box via the %serviceoutput% macro. I added %longservice...

BPI Notification - List "Problem" Services?
Hi there, I'm search for a way to aggregate notifications together in XI and am experimenting with the BPI feature. I have it working so far with the warning and critical thresholds thanks to the XI BPI Wizard. When a notification is triggered, I get an email with the following message: CRITICAL - G...

Re: Sudden NRDS Error for new devices
Sorry for double-post. I totally forgot, with a new Pi I usually run a script I made that installs NRPE and nagios-plugins before I get around to installing NRDS.
apt-get install nagios-plugins seems to have fixed me up :]

Re: Sudden NRDS Error for new devices
It's a new Pi. All of my devices running NRDS are Pi's, which is why I'm a bit shocked that this isn't working. /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_ping/check_ping does NOT exist, which again, has never been an issues -- I haven't had to manually copy plugins over to the Pi when rolling out new devices. I...

Sudden NRDS Error for new devices
Hi there, I've been using NRDS quite a bit to setup remote agents to perform basic checks (check_ping etc) and report back to XI server. I tried to spin up a new Linux device following my normal process, and I've run into some issues. In the NRDS Config in XI, I've set the following commands: comman...
