Re: Notification email address questions
What problems are you having? Can you provide what you have done already and any errors that you are receiving? Hi Tom! We're on XI latest. I've uploaded the plugins and made the command as outlined in the read me. I have a host that I'm testing with. I've set it to contact myself via the command a...

Re: Notification email address questions
I found this on our exchange site. https://exchange.nagios.org/directory/Addons/Notifications/nagios_notifier/details It looks fairly close to what you are looking for. It consolidates the notifications and then uses Cron to send them out. You may be able to modify it for your needs. That IS what I...

Re: Notification email address questions
Sorry to raise this thread from the dead. Just trying to hash out some items regarding quieting down NAGIOS alerts a bit. We're trying to figure out the best way to have NAGIOS tie into our existing CRM via email without having it generate a million tickets. I'm aware there are services like PagerDu...

Re: NRDP Syntax Error when using check_ping
Is the /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_ping a script that uses /bin/ping6 to test the host? Is the host name localhost resolvable on your Raspberry PI? Can you login to the PI and run the check from the command line? Yes, the hostname is pingable. Tried this: root@cityofpickering:/home/pi# /usr/lib/n...

Re: NRDP Syntax Error when using check_ping
Looks like I got the service checks working. However, XI thinks the host itself is down, even though it's sending NRDP checks through to XI properly. This is what the the host status looks like: cop1.JPG And the host settings (I haven't changed anything, I added the host/services via 'Unconfigured O...

Re: NRDP Syntax Error when using check_ping
Thanks. I caught the plugin dir mismatch. That helped
But the 2>&1 part is generated when installing NRDP on the remote device -- it adds that to contrab for the nagios user. Should this be removed all the time?
I'll try it and see what happens

NRDP Syntax Error when using check_ping
Hi there, I can't put my finger on this one. Been using NRDP for remote clients for a while now and haven't had an issue... Client is installed on the remote device. NRDS config as follows: command[__HOST__]=/usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_ping -H localhost -w 200.0,40% -c 400.0,80% -p 1 command[HP ...

Discrepancy in graph values
Hi there, I was checking some performance graphs earlier today and noticed something that appeared odd to me... I'm graphing number of simultaneous calls on an Asterisk server. Please check out the first graph of 7-day activity: -...
