Re: No hard alerts in Nagios but alerts picked in ticketing
I assume you're using the SNMP Trap Sender component(https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagiosxi/docs/Sending-SNMP-Traps-With-Nagios-XI.pdf) to send traps that are triggered by alerts in Nagios, but can you confirm? You mention that you do not see any HARD alerts in Nagios or changes. Can you clari...

Re: Nagios LogServer Installation always fails with ImportEr
Hi toomanyairmiles , The script you are running downloads the latest vesrion of NLS, unpacks it, and runs the installation locally. The problems stem from this error: Downloading https://files.pythonhosted.org/packages/21/83/308a74ca1104fe1e3197d31693a7a2db67c2d4e668f20f43a2fca491f9f7/click-8.0.1.ta...

Re: Filebeat agent for linux log source
Yes, this is possible. https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/beats/filebeat/6.8/filebeat-getting-started.html has the steps for installing the agent and forwarding the logs to various outputs. You'll want to configure an output to forward the logs to the NLS machine where you'll have set up a beats input(...

Re: Cisco ASA Dashboard
I labbed it up and the byte fields where being stored as a string. This can be seen when running: curl -XGET 'http://localhost:9200/logstash-2021.05.19/' Do you see the same thing on your end? It would look something like: ... "BytesTransmitted" : { "type" : "string", &...

Re: Cisco ASA Dashboard
@shifty, it looks like I ran out of time to properly lab this but will do so first thing tomorrow. In the meantime, try editing both panels and instead of using BytesReceived and BytesTransmitted, see if BytesReceived.raw and BytesTransmitted.raw exist as options in the value field and try them if t...

Re: Subsystem Problem Indicated
It looks like there is probably a problem with the /etc/sudoers file. Make sure this file contains: User_Alias NAGIOSLOGSERVER=nagios User_Alias NAGIOSLOGSERVERWEB=apache NAGIOSLOGSERVER ALL = NOPASSWD:/etc/init.d/logstash start NAGIOSLOGSERVER ALL = NOPASSWD:/etc/init.d/logstash stop NAGIOSLOGSERVE...

Please provide a profile from the system. It can be gathered under Admin > System > System Status > Download System Profile or from the command line with: /usr/local/nagioslogserver/scripts/profile.sh This will create /tmp/system-profile.tar.gz. Please send me this through private message.
