What do the timezone settings under Admin > System Config > System Settings > General, look like? When you schedule a report it schedules based on the time found on the XI machine.

Can you share the calls that are being made and their results(remove any sensitive information)? What version of XI is this? Is the enabling/disabling handled by an event handler?

Your analysis is correct. Check out https://support.nagios.com/kb/article/n ... g-149.html which has a script to search out rrd files(responsible for holding the information for each CPU to be graphed) and correct them.

The database cannot be altered this way. The query that service now uses would need to be changed.

Making the queries and dashboards more efficient will help - for example, limiting the searches to look at small time periods, querying specific fields, and avoiding wild cards(*). See https://library.nagios.com/library/prod ... zing-logs/.
