SNMP Messages in eventman.log

I'm seeing these messages in eventman.log and don't know what it means. SNMP TRAP SENDER NOT CONFIGURED! PHP Notice: Undefined variable: settings in /usr/local/nagiosxi/html/includes/components/mtr/mtr.inc.php on line 533 *** GLOBAL HANDLER (snmptrapsender)... Can you help me understand what's wrong...

Re: Delayed Notification

I went through nagios.log and found the event but nothing about a delay or notification. Also there are no service notifications in the log for this event. I checked service config and it looked ok to me. define service { host_name da1-stp service_description STP use xiwizard_passive_service max_che...

Re: Delayed Notification

The configuration is applied. To be honest you couldn't be paying attention if you didn't see the red button and messages saying apply configuration.

I've done passive and active checks and neither is sending a notification after first notification delay is set

Delayed Notification

I've got something wrong and can't find it. Notifications work except when I set a delay. If I set a delay I never get a notification. If I turn off delay and set it back to notify immediately it returns to the correct behavior. I set the delay by going to core config manager and then configure serv...

Re: NagiosXI Event Handler Update Status Information

I think that will work. I'll start testing. Go ahead and lock this thread. I'll start a new one if necessary.

NagiosXI Event Handler Update Status Information

Is it possible for an event handler to update the status information for a service that executed the event handler?

For example, I would like the status information reflect the status of the event handler. Like event handler started and whether or not it succeeded.

Re: Action triggered by alarm

I forgot to add that I cannot use NRPE in this scenario. If I have to use an agent it has to be SNMP. I've extened SNMP with check scripts before instead of using NRPE.

Re: Action triggered by alarm

I've read all the documents you posted before I asked. The event handler doc only uses a host for an example and changes the check to passive. I don't see how that will work with my service check. Maybe you can help me understand how it can work with a service instead of a host. Actions looks like i...

Action triggered by alarm

I've been looking for a way to fire a script when a service goes into a bad state. I saw event handler examples and action links but I don't think that will provide the behavior I want. I want to do a http check and if it fails the script will fire and restart a service on the http server. I don't w...
