Re: Notifications sent when turned off in template
In Nagios, if someone goes to the Service Status of a Service and enables the Notifications in the Advanced TAB or the Quick actions link. That will enable the Notifications regardless of the settings in the configuration file in the /usr/local/nagios/etc/services file or the templates, etc. The sta...

Re: Scheduled FTP/SCP Backups Not Working - Part II
When a scheduled backup runs, it restarts the Nagios process to flush the files to the disk so it can get an up to date backup and if there is a check that takes a long time to stop, it could be creating the defunct process. What time of the day are you running the backup? Can you get the following ...

Re: Delete unknown service alerts
Those 2 service checks are getting applied to that host through a Hostgroup. If you edit the TPCLOW-3560-01 host, you will see that is has this hostgroup Network-switches assigned to it. That hostgroup is assigned to those 2 services for the TPCLOW-9508-01 service configuration. You can remove the H...

Re: Nagios ramdisk full and no performance graphs
It looks like there is a typo in the /usr/lib/systemd/system/ramdisk.service file. It is missing a space in the paths when it creates the folders. Edit the /usr/lib/systemd/system/ramdisk.service file and make sure the ExecStartPre has a space between the /var/nagiosramdisk/spool/checkresults and th...

Re: Notifications sent when turned off in template
Thanks for the profile. The host name you PMed me, is it still sending Notifications for the Memory Usage service or where the settings in the CCM changed to disable the notifications for the service? The service settings are set to get the settings from the template so it should not be sending them...

Re: Notifications sent when turned off in template
Without having access to the files before Ansible was ran and after it was ran to compare them, I do not know why that is happening. Can you provide some details on what is patched by Ansible? Could you post of PM me your Nagios XI System Profile so I can review it? To get your system profile. Login...

Re: Nagios XI upgrade from 5.8.5 to 5.8.7 fails
The post_install script uses python for the MRTG configuration file updates and it cannot find the python application on the server. The python application is a link to either Python 2 or 3 depending on what version is installed on the server. To create the link for Python 2, you would run this as r...
