nagios "Email Settings" are beig gignored
I see alerts coming out of our nagios server but instead of using the address that I put into the field "Send From:" in the "Email Settings" it's using nagios@usnagiosxi01.localdomain. It's also not going to the host listed under the SMTP settings and it's going to the one in the...

Re: update message doesn't go away even after the latest upg
That did work. A different question though: I have Nagios version 5.6.5 and that article says that I should have mySQL database but the query in there showed that my dbtype is pgsql.

update message doesn't go away even after the latest upgrade
I updated to the latest version and rebooted and I still see this message when I click "Check for Updates" under Administration:
Update in progress. Please wait. Update may take a few minutes.
How do I get rid of it?

Re: unable to install nagios client on ubuntu 16.04.5 LTS
Previously I ran the install from my home directory. I just did it from /tmp but I got the same error: *** Configuration summary for nrpe 3.2.1 2017-09-01 ***: General Options: ------------------------- NRPE port: 5666 NRPE user: nagios NRPE group: nagios Nagios user: nagios Nagios group: nagios Rev...

I am getting an error below when installing the linux-nrpe-agent on Ubuntu. I am attaching the install.log as well - can you help me figure out why it's not installing? cd ./src/; make make[1]: Entering directory '/home/sysops/linux-nrpe-agent/subcomponents/nrpe/nrpe-3.2.1/src' gcc -g -O2 -I/usr/inc...

how to monitor netstat, exceeding a # of ESTABLISHED conns?
Hi We had a runaway python.exe process on a critical Windows server that consumed too many resources and caused jobs to fail on it. When I ran "netstat -ano", I saw that there was a single process that had a ton of "ESTABLISHED" connections. The total output of "netstat -ano...
