Re: SELinux support

Hello,

Just wanted to add to this post that I've been asking for SELinux support since december 2018, see https://support.nagios.com/forum/viewto ... t=+SELinux

Imho, this is a basic feature we need to achieve compliance...

Grtz

Re: Python upgrade from 2.7.5 to 3

Hello, As "Python 2.7 reached the end of its life on January 1st, 2020" we will need to upgrade Python. Can you please confirm if all Nagios Core and XI components will keep working and if our installation with Python 3.x will be supported by Nagios when we proceed with the upgrade? Tx Wil...

Re: Vulnerability scanner detected cross-site scripting vuln

Yes I know it's talking about an old version.... But still it's quite annoying it's somehow found with a qod of 99 %. Do you think Openvas detects Nagios XI and immediately flags old vulnerabilities..? Been scanning 100's of servers and most detected vulnerabilities did make sense. This doesn't. I'l...

Vulnerability scanner detected cross-site scripting vulnerab

Hello, Since recently we started scanning our servers for vulnerabilities (with OpenVAS) and it seems the scan detects cross-site scripting vulnerabilties on our Nagios XI servers who are on the latest Nagios XI version, 5.6.12. See attached screenshot. So is this an issue and if so, how can we solv...

Re: Nagios REST API throws HTP 200 with invalid api key

A rest api call with a invalid key should really throw a 403. API logs are analyzed generally based on http status codes..
Thanks for making the feature request, you can close this ticket.

Nagios REST API throws HTP 200 with invalid api key

Hello, We have an Ansible playbook using he Nagios REST API and noticed that even when the API key is invalid, Nagios still gives a 200 (ok). This is not really what we were expecting. Instead a 401 or 403 should be returned? { "content_length": "28", "cookies": {}, &qu...

Re: ndo2db alternatives

Imho it's not normal that the ipcs queue is the bottleneck of a Nagios XI server. Our Nagios server has all suggested performance tuning, but we still had similar ipcs queuing issues several times. This while cpu load and ram usage is completely under control.. The upgrade to 5.5 made the situation ...

Win.Exploit.CVE_2019_0903-6966169-0 FOUND

Hello, Our weekly running ClamAV scan of our Nagios XI server reports the following since we updated our DR server to 5.6.2 from 5.5.7: /tmp/nagiosxi/subcomponents/nrpe/nrpe-3.2.1.tar.gz: Win.Exploit.CVE_2019_0903-6966169-0 FOUND /tmp/nagiosxi/subcomponents/ndoutils/ndoutils-2.1.3.tar.gz: Win.Exploi...

Re: Needed Ramdisk?

Hey, My personal advice is, if you have half a GB of memory spare, to set up the ramdisk anyway. It helps and is not that hard to set up, just follow the official instructions. You'll have to do it eventually, why not enjoy the benefits now. We assigned it 500 MB which is only used 13 % atm: tmpfs 5...
