Re: Errors trying to set up passive checks using NCPA and NRDP
Hi meganwilliford , thanks for reaching out. For the errors you're seeing, I would say that you ran into a bug. The first thing I'm going to recommend is that you upgrade to NCPA 3 if possible, and see if that fixes your error. If that doesn't fix your problems, I've submitted an issue on the NCPA G...

Re: Integrating email verification into Nagios: any advice ?
Hi Marcos T , thanks for reaching out. That's a good point, I think we have a lot of opportunity to improve our notification/user management experience. I think that if you wanted to verify user emails right now, you would probably have to go to Admin->General->Mail Settings->Test Settings (button o...

Re: Not authorized to commit commands
Hi yanick.moser , thanks for reaching out. My understanding of this is that there is technically an authorization check in Nagios Core, but that most people do not use it. The most likely causes for this error are 1. Permissions issues when submitting commands (which you've ruled out), and 2. Failin...

Re: Restart NCP Listener issue
Thank you! This has solved the issue. I guess the instructions need updating. Hi dancormack , glad to hear your issue is solved! I wasn't able to find anything on our public sites that still referred to just NCPA 2's management commands - if you have a moment, could you point us to where you found ...

Re: Nagios XI Notification Design
Hi adamc817 , thanks for reaching out. That's an interesting situation, and I'm surprised that I haven't heard it before. Given that you want email alerts to go out at all times, your solution is probably the one I'd go with. Your other option to keep the configuration under control is to write a lo...

Re: No space left on device
It looks like the /dev/mmcblk0p2 directory is out of inodes based on your output posted. Is that the partition Nagios is installed on? If so, I don't know of a way to add inodes without remaking the filesystem. Best Regards Cory Norell How can I check that nagios is installed on this portion /dev/m...

Re: HOW TO ADD '-n' flag in check_nrpe command in Nagios XI
I think the original question has been answered several times over now and the original poster hasn't indicated that they still need help. kmsharma , if you found that kg2857 's explanation didn't work for you, please feel free to create a new topic and link back to this one if you like. I'm going t...

Re: Who has logged in to core
Hi kbauma01 , thanks for reaching out. Nagios Core handles authentication through Apache's implementation of BasicAuth - you won't be able to see individual logins, but you should be able to check your apache access log for each individual page, and the username should be logged there. Here's an exa...

Re: NagiosXI index.php doesnt show any information
Hi asanteben , thanks for reaching out. Can you check /usr/local/nagios/var/nagios.log for errors? Specifically, I've seen a few people get errors like this recently: [1705332165] NDO-3: NDO 3.1.0 (c) Copyright 2009-2023 Nagios - Nagios Core Development Team [1705332165] NDO-3: Unable to connect to ...
