Re: Permissin denied commands.cfg

Your install is pretty broken, you're better off following the official guide and starting fresh - https://support.nagios.com/kb/article.p ... ategory=58 - these instructions should work like a charm.

Re: Logs via F5 load balancer

Check out my beautiful drawing. Hope it helps explain. Think of a 4 node like a RAID10 setup.

You might find this interesting too since you're running a 4 node - https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elastic ... ster_nodes

Re: Host Dependency on service

check_interval 604800
Is this on purpose? I can't even think of a half baked reason to run a check every 420 days.

The only reason I ask is I could see it playing a role in your checks not running.

Also, post the templates for generic-service and generic-switch.

Re: Monitoring Network Bandwidth

Did you run through a wizard to set it up?

The other option is using the snmpwalk wizard, and specifying the OID that maps to how much traffic has gone through x int.

Take a look at https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagiosxi/docs/Understanding-Nagios-XI-Notification-Variables.pdf You would either need to use custom vars, or possible look at these ones provided through Core. https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagioscore/docs/nagioscore/3/en/macrolist.html This ...

Re: NRPE: Unable to read output

Can you run this too since JMX is going to utilize this port directly?

Code: Select all

nmap -sU -p 7780 168.162.97.143
Then, as requested, post the JMX configuration settings that are running on the client side.

Re: Nagios Upgrade

As long as you haven't made any custom changes to the actual Nagios Core components (just your object files as you described) - then you should be fine to upgrade.

Re: All Linux Server CPU Spike at same time

Yes the all spike at the exact same time I sent a lot of info on this Someone must know why I haven't seen in this post if the nagios user (or whoever you're running NRPE under) is able to actually run your script locally. Give that a try and get it working, then watch your /var/log/messages on the...
