Re: Log4j Remediation

Hi QP User, Thanks for checking in with us on this. We have an official update on this vulnerability on our website. Nagios Log Server does use log4j but it uses an older version that is not impacted - 1.2.17.jar. https://www.nagios.com/news/2021/12/update-on-apache-log4j-vulnerability/ The other pr...

Re: Monitoring json values

Hi Don, Let's get some valid results coming back on the command line first, and then you can run the wizard again with the correct settings. Looking at the output, it's a nested array, so try running the following and let me know that works. You can adjust the thresholds as needed, I just put in sam...

Hi,

NLS does use log4j but it uses an older version that is not impacted - 1.2.17.jar.

Do you have any other applications installed on this server?

Re: Is there any way to find warning alerts that converted

Hi

There isn't a specific report on this, but all that information is available in the nagios.log.

Code: Select all

/usr/local/nagios/var/archives
If you like diving into some code, you can make a simple script to check for that behavior.

Re: How to remove

Hi,

Welcome to the Community Forum!
On the Server itself I have blocked YouTube. I don't see why YouTube should track our admins and application owners while using Nagios.
Are you using Nagios Core and can you share a screenshot of the YouTube video links?

Thanks,
Benjamin

Re: Monitoring json values

Hi Don. The JSON Wizard has two main check types, strings or integers. The integer checks will have thresholds for warning and critical similar to other service checks in Nagios. For string values, you can set the non-ok output for either the case of match or no match. If you're having trouble getti...
