I can't recommend check_multi enough for this sort of situation!

Also, "yum provides */libmysqlclient.so" says that this library is provided by the mysql-devel package, so if you're still seeing the problem after reinstalling the plugin, try manually installing mysql-devel ("yum install mysql-devel")

I'm not sure, to be honest! That command is what Nagios runs when the notification is triggered.

That output looks truncated, but similar to a successful name resolution.
