Re: Monitoring Engine wont start.
Thats good to hear that the issue is fixed however I dont think that this should have to be disabled to fix it. I will take a look into this and see if I can find any issues with it but in the mean time if you have any other issues that you need help with let us know.

Restart nagios systemctl restart nagios The automatic update check is for Core only so you do not need to put is back and it is a special versi...

Hey @tkaufman
By any chance was this instance of XI an offline install? Also are you still running into this issue when trying to upgrade to 2024R1.1? I remember seeing this issue before however I thought it was fixed.

Re: monitoring engine status - process state not running
Hi @dlally, If @sgardil's suggested fix doesn't get this solved for you, I would also recommend looking at the Nagios core log file: /usr/local/nagios/var/nagios.log This may have some error output that might provide more information. Another clue is that if you hit 100% disk usage, your database m...

Re: Monitoring Engine wont start.
I am having the same issue on NagiosXI 2024R1. From what I found it seems to haver stopped working on March 17 6:50:00 am GMT. All that I am aware is that the notifications were turned off at March 17 12:40:00 am GMT and turned back on March 17 5:15:00 am GMT. Monitoring engine was working from the...

Hey @Izdravkov
Can you do the following and report the output:
Navigate to CCM > Tools > Config File Management. Then click the verification buttons from top to bottom. Please share the output that is returned to the page.

Re: [REST API] Config endpoint only returns active (registered) hosts
Hey @cmueller
unfortunately I don't believe there is a way currently to check for inactive hosts via our host config endpoint. I can put in a request for this to be added however I can not give a time frame for when that would be done.
