Re: Bandwith Graphs show 0/0 in all network hosts.

Hello psasines, The version number you have given does not seem to be correct. If you're running version 5.5.7 or 5.5.8. Running the following commands from terminal of your Nagios XI host will resolve your issue: chown "apache:nagios" /etc/mrtg -R chmod 775 /etc/mrtg -R chown "apache...

Re: User permissions on Nagios directories

Does Nagios XI work as expected on the primary server? Are you running the reconfigure and repair scripts on the primary or secondary server? On the secondary server, did you make the necessary edits to /usr/local/nagiosxi/html/config.inc.php as defined in this doc? https://assets.nagios.com/downloa...

Re: NCPA 2.1.4 on Windows 2088 R2 Daatacentre

Hello charangandra, The most common cause of this issue is when the NCPA installer is run from a non-administrator account. Windows will not allow a service to be installed from a non-admin account. Please uninstall NCPA and reinstall with "run as administrator" and let us know if this res...

Re: host always shown down but services status is"ok"

Hello nagiossupport123, Most often, if the host being monitored does not respond to a ping request but the service checks are successful, the monitored host is configured to not allow the ping request. Try temporarily disabling Windows Firewall to see if the host responds to ping. If so, the firewal...

Re: using API to add Router and Switchs

My apologies elade, For the reason you've just reminded me of (creating rrd files) I don't know if it's possible to recreate the functionality of the Switch Router Wizard with API calls. It would seem as though it likely is not. I'll continue to research this and perhaps float the idea of a feature ...

Re: Monitoring Windows with SNMP

Hello mkeey,

If you use the Windows SNMP wizard rather than the SNMP wizard, the task of selecting and implementing the proper OIDs is done for you. Try this and let me know if it resolves your issue.

Thank you for visiting the Nagios Support Forum.

Re: Getting Timeticks result

Hello truongquyen, Rather than copying the file to /usr/local/nagios/libexec, Use the monitoring plugins link in the Core Configuration Manager to upload the plugin and select the Convert Line Endings checkbox which will remove the DOS ^M characters from the plugin. Let me know if you have any addit...

Unless you are unable to with your current license, I would strongly recommend that you upgrade to the latest version. This will bring in the script you are looking for.

Re: User permissions on Nagios directories

Hello MOHANREDDY, In addition to what Scott has said, since the mode is read-execute for all users, you should be able to rsync these directories as an ordinary (non-privileged) user without changing permissions. You can run these command from a non-root account to test: cd /usr/local rsync -prl --s...

Re: set up email alerts using mailx

Hello nib01, This would appear to be a misconfigured sendmail.cf file, or your email server requires authentication, or your trying to send an email to an account outside of your domain. As this is clearly a sendmail issue rather than a nagios issue, you're more likely to find a solution on a genera...
