Re: LDAP authentication issue

The commands "ldapwhoami" and "ldapsearch" aren't available on the system.

Code: Select all

[root@hqnaglogi1 ~]# ldapwhoami
-bash: ldapwhoami: command not found
[root@hqnaglogi1 ~]# ldapsearch
-bash: ldapsearch: command not found

Question regarding the OVA

We have been using Nagios XI for many years, installed on a Linux VM of our own. Recently, we thought we'd give the OVA a try for the Network Analyzer. We have deployed this into our VMware vSphere environment. Seems to be running OK, but I have a few questions. Do we just treat this like any other ...

LDAP authentication issue

We are trying to set up the Nagios Log Server 2.1.8 using the downloadable OVA/OVF file from Nagios, in our VMware vSphere environment. I have the new VM up and running with its IP address configured, and have activated the license. I went in and configured our LDAP server, and added several users. ...

Re: Monitoring Oracle DB using Nagios XI - error

Looks like I spoke too soon, it's working now (sort of). We must have a firewall issue, because now it is saying it can't connect. I think you can close this issue, thank you for the help.

Re: Monitoring Oracle DB using Nagios XI - error

That file had the wrong path, it had 19.3, which was removed during troubleshooting, and 18.5 was installed instead. I have updated the file. Do I need to restart Nagios or anything to have the change go in to effect?

Thanks.

Monitoring Oracle DB using Nagios XI - error

We recently installed the Oracle Client/etc software on our Nagios XI system, so we can monitor our Oracle databases. When trying to use one of the wizards, received the following: CRITICAL - cannot connect to server1:1521/db1. install_driver(Oracle) failed: Can't load '/usr/local/lib64/perl5/auto/D...

Re: Nagios XI and Oracle DB

I uninstalled the 19.3 RPMs, and tried it with the 18.5 ones. Seems to have worked, the script made it all the way through (I think). We'll give this a go for now. Eventually, we will migrate to a newer OS (or just use your virtual appliance), and then we can use those newer versions. Thanks for all...
