Local Password Requirements

Post by TBT »

I can't believe this isn't present already, but Fusion should have the same Local Password Requirements options that XI has.

@TBT, Are you talking about the option for LDAP users to be able to log in with a local password? Which version of Fusion are you using right now?

1. Nope, local passwords in Fusion. The available options within XI can be viewed by navigating to Admin > System settings > Passwords & Accounts: Local Password Requirements

2. Evaluating Nagios Fusion 4.1.5

While we're on the topic, as Fusion 4.1.5 doesn't have an upgrade path requiring a complete reinstall, is there any way to migrate the account credentials over from Fusion 2014R1.1 rather than recreate?

@TBT, I confirmed that Fusion doesn't have this functionality and submitted a feature request on your behalf.

According to our update doc, there is a way to upgrade Fusion from 2014R1.1 to the latest version. You'd need to upgrade to the Fusion 4.0.0 first, and then do another upgrade to the Fusion 4.1.5.

Otherwise, we don't have a supported way of migrating the account credentials.
