Custom URL dashlet behaviour

Post by gnikolov »

I have a very strange behaviour, I couldn't find any topic with it so if anyone has thoughts on the matter please help.
I have a Fusion, an XI and I am accessing from Workstation.
I have integrated XI and Fusion and I see alerts, service status etc.
I have access from Workstation and Fusion to XI on port 443.
In the Fusion I add "custom URL" dashlet with the URL of the XI and I get time-out.
In the Fusion I add "custom URL" dashlet with https://google.com and I get time-out.(both Fusion and Workstation have access to internet)
In the Fusion I add "custom URL" dashlet with the URL of the Fusioin and I get proper result.
I have exhausted many possibilities, I just don't see any traffic going out of the Fusion(neither in my firewall, nor with tcpdump on the Fusion itself).
Please help.

Hello, @gnikolov. I believe the URL dashlet uses Iframes to show web pages. A lot of websites nowadays have restrictions that do not allow them to be shown in iframes. As for XI, you can go to the Admin menu, click on System Settings, go to the Security tab and check the box that says:
Disable - Do not restrict pages from being opened in iframes from anywhere.
Under the "Page Security Settings".
As of May 25th, 2018, all communications with Nagios Enterprises and its employees are covered under our new Privacy Policy.
