Error doing a upgrade nagiopsxi

Post by eddiez »

I am upgrading my Nagios server at our DR site and I get the following error.

Error Downloading Packages:
perl-Math-Calc-Units-1.07-6.el6.noarch: failure: perl-Math-Calc-Units-1.07-6.el6.noarch.rpm from epel: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.
perl-Number-Format-1.73-3.el6.noarch: failure: perl-Number-Format-1.73-3.el6.noarch.rpm from epel: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.

What can I do to fix this error.

Thanks,

Ed

Hi @eddiez

Do you get this error upgrading Nagios XI or upgrading the server itself?

If this is a server issue, the following article from Redhat may help you resolve this error.
https://access.redhat.com/solutions/203603

Let me know if you get it resolved.

This is what I did:

wget -O upgrade.sh https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagiosxi/upgrade.sh

sh ./upgrade.sh

After awhile I received the error

What is the version of Nagios XI that you are upgrading from? Are you using a proxy or local repos?

Can you run the following commands, and show the output?

Code: Select all

yum clean all
yum repolist -v
Also, post the entire upgrade.log.

It seems like that you did a rpm install of Nagios XI, but now you are trying to use an upgrade script, used for source installs. This is not going to work... In order to upgrade your Nagios XI instance, you would need to run:

Code: Select all

yum update nagiosxi
Let us know if this helped. Thank you!
