Since the update to Nagios 5.7.1 we have a problem with the backend engine.
All the services and hosts are in a pending state after we apply a new configuration.
I have already tried to downgrade the backend engine but with no success.
Maybe the reason is the high number of services in our environment? (5000 services, 830 hosts)
All services and hosts in pending state after restart

Re: All services and hosts in pending state after restart
Hi,
What type of error message did you see when you tried downgrading to ndo2db? It should work regardless of how many checks you have configured.
The pending status issue can be the result of the ndo.cfg file not getting correctly added. Can you send over the lastest profile and I'll review the settings.
Lastly, is this running on a VM, and do you have the ability to revert to the previous version if necessary? Thanks, Benjamin
To send us your system profile.
Login to the Nagios XI GUI using a web browser.
Click the "Admin" > "System Profile" Menu
Click the "Download Profile" button
Save the profile.zip file and share in a private message or upload it to the post/ticket, and then reply to this post to bring it up in the queue.

Re: All services and hosts in pending state after restart
I found the problem!
I haven't seen the last line of the nagios.cfg. In this line there was also a broker config which I haven't seen. (it was created of ndo automatically)
After a restart everything works well
