Good day,
we have following problem: the Service "Ping" will be presently (for each host) the status "unkown" - pls see attached the two screenshots.
Question: Who can help/assist there in order that the service will be in good working order (maybe after some reset some commands are missing
in the configuration - this is the reason why we have send also the two shortcuts).
Many thanks beforehand for assistance again.

Re: SERVICE: PING - Status unkown
Hi RalfS,
It looks like you have the check_nt plugin selected for the ping check, try selecting the check_ping plugin for the Check command in the Service Management window (red arrow in the attached copy of your screenshot).
Thanks and Best Regards,
Keith

Have tried to use this ommand but unfortunately the result seems to be the same - see attached screenshot
Are there maybe any other suggestions/helpful hints for this problem?

Re: SERVICE: PING - Status unkown
Edit the service again and set your $ARG1$ and $ARG2$ values to these:
Then Save, Apply Configuration, force a check, and then let us know if that resolved the issue.
Thank you!
Code: Select all
$ARG1$: 100.0,20%
$ARG2$: 500.0,60%
Thank you!

Re: SERVICE: PING - Status unkown
Go back and edit the service, then chance the Check command to check_ping. Then apply configuration and force a check. The output shows check_nt so you must've selected the wrong check command on that service.
