Upgrading to PHP 8.1 on Nagiosxi

Good afternoon,

Has anyone upgraded NagiosXI (5.9.1) running on Centos7 from PHP 7.4 to PHP 8.1?
If yes were there any issues or gota's preforming the upgrade?

Is there a reason why you'd want to upgrade PHP to 8.1?

Good afternoon Nagios Support

Yes the Corporate Security Team wishes to update all PHP to 8.1 (I am expecting that in January they will ask for it to go to 8.2 which is scheduled to be released in December)
I have updated Nagios XI (5.9.1) with no issues on Centos7.
I have updated a test Nagios Log Server and that does not work
I have not yet tried the NNA server.
I note that the current NagiosXI 5.9.1 esx downloads are on Centos Stream with PHP 8.0, I have not tested this yet as our first Nagios Centos Stream server is not scheduled to be deployed until the New Year.

Regardless we need php 8.X to meet our security requirements. So why is there no help to support it at this time? PHP 7 is EOL and PHP 5 is long gone so why is this an issue? We are working to move forward not stay behind.

You probably aren't getting much response because these forums are for the nagios users to ask each other questions, not for support by nagios. Also, the new more official support site is https://answerhub.nagios.com/support.
If you have a question for nagios and have support, you may want to open a case via the link.
I'm just another nagios user, so don't blame the messenger... :)
