:D Confirmed. I've been able to recreate the problem by setting the log rotation to hourly with a small number of host services in downtime. I also notice I was not actually updated to the 1.2.2p3 version of livestatus from the messages log file and have corrected the nagios.cfg broker entry. I will test this latest version of livestatus 1.2.2p3 over the hour for a fix.

Down graded mk-livestatus to 1.2.0p3 after trying both (1.2.2p3 and 1.2.4b3) unsucessfully. Log rotation successful even with downtime configurations. Since we only use livestatus for THRUK, this version will work for us.
