Nagios XI - Wizards Notification settings

Post by jacek »

Hi All,

I have a question, on each wizard we have a step where we configure who to notify, and how often (screen below).
What will happen if I put 0 in the red marked area?

I simply would like to put there some value that would cause nagios not repeat the messages (I wan't only one e-mail, no reminders anymore).

Thanks!

Correct, setting it to to zero will mean only one notification will be sent no matter how many times a host is detected as down.
This setting also exists on each your configured hosts/services. In CCM select a host or service and you'll see it under the alert settings tab.

https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... tions.html
notification_interval: This directive is used to define the number of "time units" to wait before re-notifying a contact that this service is still down or unreachable. Unless you've changed the interval_length directive from the default value of 60, this number will mean minutes. If you set this value to 0, Nagios will not re-notify contacts about problems for this host - only one problem notification will be sent out.
