A problem with Oracle and NagiosXI Support

Post by davide.bonicelli »

Hi All, I've a problem with a check with an oracle database: the integrated Nagios xi oracle module seems to check the tablespace usage compared with the maximum tablespace allocable instead of the actual tablespace usage.
So, for example, in the table sipe_dati i see on oracle these values
SIPE_DATI
Allocated: 370000.00
Free: 21627.75
Used: 348372.25
% Used: 94.15

but the nagios check reports those
'tbs_sipe_dati_usage_pct'=85.95%;90;95 'tbs_sipe_dati_usage'=348564MB;364982;385259;0;405535 'tbs_sipe_dati_alloc'=370000MB;;;0;405535

i already asked NagiosXI support, but in the end, they told to me to ask the author of the plugin, i tried but without any response.
So i'm a bit disappointed that i have to ask for an official NagiosXI plugin, beside this do you have any better check to use?

Hi @davide.bonicelli,

Thank you for reaching out!

To better assist your issue I would like to get a little more information.

Are you using the "Oracle Tablespace" wizard?
What version of Nagios XI are you using?
What distribution are you running Nagios XI on?

more than a year has passed..we also sent a support ticket in 2022, but the result was 'ask the plugin writer' that sadly didn't reply (and yes, i was trying "Oracle Tablespace" wizard).
so I wrote a plugin by myself
