"Server log: Random IP disconnects?"

What could be the reason for the continuous stream of disconnects from random IP addresses that I'm experiencing in my recently set up vanilla server? Is it possible that these frequent disconnects are a result of a bot attempting to check ports?

Hi @BelaanKarianick, thanks for reaching out.

Yes, that's the most likely cause. If you've installed your server on a public cloud like AWS, or have otherwise set it up with a public IP address or hostname, bots that constantly port-scan and attempt malicious connections are the norm.
