multiple languages support

Postby microxuzh » Tue Oct 29, 2013 1:09 am

I know vshell supports multiple languages. for example: fr_FR.mo, fr_FR.po under vshell/locale/LC_MESSAGES

my question is how to make vshell supports Chinese ? If i have Chinese.po , how to generate Chinese.mo?
Describe the detailed steps is appreciate.

Seems like the standard is to use an application called poedit. Try taking a look at this link - http://doc.osclass.org/Translating_and_ ... and_.mo%29

Hi, thanks for your reply. I tried it and generated the Chinese.mo , but it doesn't work. The web interface is still English version.
Any help ?

I am not 100% but it seems like the steps would be similar to:

1) Convert po to mo.
2) Create appropriate directory in /usr/local/vshell/locale/
3) Copy files to that directory, and make sure permissions match the other folders.
4) Change the locale in the vshell interface or the /usr/local/vshell/config/vshell.conf (LANG=)
5) try browsing the interface, possibly restart apache.
