Integration with nagiosgraph

Postby fireshipjohn » Fri Jul 22, 2011 8:17 am

Hi,
We are just evaluating V-Shell and have successfully installed it and all seems OK.
We use nagiosgraph and I notice the graph icons do not appear on V-Shell.

Does it handle the 'Extra Service Actions' from Nagios Core?

Thanks

John

Currently that feature doesn't exist yet in V-Shell, but I'll make a note to add support for some of the addon tools like nagiosgraph and pnp in future releases.

I have the similar issue.
I have integrated pnp4nagios with Nagios Core, and it is working fine with Nagios Core, but does not show in V-Shell.
And OS icons are not shown up as well.
Any ideas to fix the problems?

Currently there isn't PNP performance graph integration with V-Shell, however, the project is completely open source, and we accept patches at any time :)

This worked for me as far Nagiosgraph integration is concerned.

In the vshell/views folder edit the fetch_icons.php file as follows:

Add this function at the bottom of the file.

Code: Select all
function graph_icon()
{
   $img = '<img src="/nagios/images/action.gif" title="View graph if available" alt="Graph" class="tableIcon" height="15" width="15" />';
   return $img;
}

Then in the fetch_service_icons function at around line 123 where it says
Code: Select all
$icons = '';
add the following line immediately after:

Code: Select all
$icons .= "<a target='_blank' href='/nagiosgraph/cgi-bin/show.cgi?host=".$service['host_name']."&service=".$service['service_description']."'>".graph_icon()."</a>";

Hopefully this is what you were looking for?

Thank you for the contribution, but this thread is over 3 years old since the last reply, and 5 years old overall. I will be closing this now.
