Set alert for traffic *below* a specified threshold

Post by nickjwest71 »

Hi,

I want to know if i can alert on an absence of traffic with an alert in NA. It is not self evident that you can and i tried a less/more than symbol and it didn't like that.

Thanks

If you want to send an alert when something is less than the threshold number, you would put a : on the end of the threshold levels.
For example, you want a Warning when the bytes are less that 20000, you would use 20000: as the warning threshold and if you want a Critical alert for less that 15000 bytes, you would use this 15000: as the critical threshold.
For more examples and details on how the Threshold Level format, take a look at this link.
