SMTP address needs to be configured on the mail boxes

Post by Pratapa »

We have a requirement as follows :

Here are SMTP address which are configured on the Mailboxes.

ABCD Oncall Support

SMTP:12345678@xxxxsms.com.in smtp:ABCOncall@xx.com.in smtp:ABCOncall@xxx.com.in

PQRS Oncall Support

smtp:abcd@xxx.com.in smtp:abcd@xxx.com.in smtp:abcd@xxx.com.in SMTP:12345678@xxxxsms.com.in

We need to change the SMTP address in Nagios for these two contacts to forward on the same SMTP address as :

Oncall- Secondary

12345678@xxxxsms.com.in

SMTP:12345678@xxxxsms.com.in smtp:defgh@xxx.com.in smtp:defgh@xxx.com.in smtp:defgh@xxx.com.in

Please let us know how to proceed on this.

To change a contact's email address, you can go to Configure -> Core Config Manager -> Contacts. Find the contact that you want to change, and change the Email Address field.

Edit:
Excuse me, I missed that this was for Nagios Core. In Nagios Core, contacts are generally stored at /usr/local/nagios/etc/objects/contacts.cfg. The process is similar in that you will locate your contacts in the configuration file, and then change the email field. This document may help you.
