Hello,
We are using Nagios Core version 3.2.3, and we use Availability Reports.
These reports are fine, but we received a request to custom Availability Report to get more details on Host events.
Create for example some events categories: network error, Hard disk failure, Fan failure, etc..
And see for each shutdown event: the reason, and the category (we created) by event.
And also see in reports, systems administratos comments enter for planned events.
Then we can make statistics by event to know how many event happen in the month (the number of each category by shutdown event) etc…
As soon as possible, without administrator many manual entries.
And also make some graphs to see on which event we can focus.
How can we get such custom report in Nagios Core ?
Is there some plugins to get such reports ?
Please, can someone help.
How customize Availability Report
Re: How customize Availability Report
These type of advanced reports do not exist in Nagios Core. Nagios XI includes the ability to create custom reports from dashboard/dashlets, so you may want to take a look at that.
You could roll your own reports by leveraging the json cgis in your ajax calls, but you would have to build the front end for it from scratch. Browse to http://<ip>/nagios/jsonquery.html to see what information can be gathered from the json cgis.
