we are getting this error in the DNS
CRITICAL - Plugin timed out while executing system call
in my nagios services page. we are working in a cloud remote server and when the same code executed in a terminal it gives perfect result.
we have tried all possible ways to find a solution for this error and we are stuck for more than 4 days.
we also looked into typos and errors in all the configuration files. when we compile the nagios it shows no error too...

can anyone please help us with this..
asap...

Is this check running from the nagios server, or remotely through and agent?
EDIT: Can you post the full check that works from the cli as well?
