Logstash Daemon dead but pid file exists

Can you share the output of the following commands executed from the CLI of the offending Nagios Log Server machine:

service logstash status
ps aux | grep java
ls -al /var/run/logstash
tail -n 100 /var/log/logstash/logstash.log

[dwhitfield]
