Collect logs from Fortigate... help!

Post by nathanplatt »

Hi Guys,

I have a fortigate 100d in a datacentre and have my nagioslogserver at the office behind a public IP with NAT. How can i get the Fortigate to pass the logs to the logserver (pref encrypted), i tried adding it as syslog but Nagioslogserver says it needs a port number but I can't add that in the fortigate.

Any ideas?

check your foritgate guide as it's probably forwarding to port 514 by default. to get NLS to listen properly follow this guide - https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... Server.pdf

I may be misunderstanding your question, but it seems like the answer to your question is on page 1 of https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... Inputs.pdf

Please let us know if that is not what you mean.
