Subsystem IP

Post by chartley »

We recently brought up a single Nagios Log Server instance. Then we changed the IP on the device after the server was up and collecting syslog messages. Now it shows the wrong IP for the subsystem in the GUI. Everything is working correctly however when going to the system status page we see the wrong IP (old one). Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Restart the server maybe?

Does the proper IP show up in the pull down?

It does not. The IP that is shown in the screenshot is 10.0.7.10 and the IP that should be showing up is 10.0.34.98 which is the current IP that is on that box.

Make sure to edit /usr/local/nagioslogserver/var/cluster_hosts to reflect the new ip and then restart the elasticsearch service with service elasticsearch restart. That should do the trick.
