How the Source will send log data if the Instance is down

Post by harinhs »

Hi Team,

One of the instances in a cluster is configured as destination for a device to send logs, In case if that instance goes down, is there any mechanism that device can send to other instances in the cluster to maintain high availability in gathering logs ?

Thanks,
Hari

What I have hear our clients are doing is using F5 loadbalancer or HAProxy and they send theirl logs to that machine or (virtual IP of another variety), and it distributes the data between the nodes.

At this time we do not have a writeup on how to configure these.
