Load Balancing for NLS Cluster

Post by floki »

Good day,

As we are trying to integrated rsyslog & nxlog to our load balancer, it seems that the guy handling F5 can't configure it. Is there any work around with this?

Is there a configuration that will allow as to send logs to both Nagios Log Server then drop the other redundant logs?

Thanks!

Hello, @floki.

Unfortunately, that is not possible. I can't think of an easy workaround for this kind of project. Perhaps a Round-robin DNS configuration could be set to forward logs from different types of sources to two different log servers. But this would be outside of our regular support scope.

Hmmm yeah, thanks for answering though. Will try to take a look on DNS round robin.

Sounds good, when setting up the DNS I would suggest a low TTL such as 60 seconds
