nagios home dir question

Hello, I'm testing the latest version of NLS on a VM CentOS 7 64-bit server.

Is there an expectation that the nagios account is in /home ?

What process(s) use /home/nagios for depositing files?

Strange questions, as I have always seen it that way, but the /home assumption is being challenged on site and I am in the middle.

On Log Server I do not believe there is any restrictions on where the home directory for the user is
