Hello!
Testing the NLS v2.0.8.
Noticed that the 'System Status' page does not load. See the screenshot attached, please.
It looks like the problem is that the page is trying to get the http://ls1/nagioslogserver/api/system/status (instead of the http://10.x.x.x/nagioslogserver/api/system/status)
but the ls1 is unknown to the browser (ls1 is just the hostname of the nls node, but it is not defined in DNS yet). I am using IP address of the nls node at the moment and found only this page problem. Everything else seems to be loading OK.
Is it a bug?
Anyway, how this could be fixed (with no need to put those IP to the DNS)?
Thank you!
Pavel

Re: System Status page does not load
Log Server uses the system hostname to try to reach the interfaces for status changes. This host must resolve before this page will work properly.
It must be done this was as many systems have different IP's based on what is connected to which network (think multiple network segments).

Thank you for the reply.
I can confirm that having added records for the nls nodes to /etc/hosts at the browser side, the System Status page is being loaded correctly.
Still, this seems to be the only page using the hostnames.

Yes, it is, it was designed this way out of feature requests because when connecting from different locations you may have a setup that needs to access different DNS records and if you put the IP's in there the browser may not have access to those IP's.prokopenkopn wrote:Thank you for the reply.
