Strange stopping in logs sending every night...

Postby xdatanet » Fri Jan 27, 2023 3:26 am

We have a HA with two LS, one on-premise e one on-cloud connected via VPN. The local host receives logs from internal LAN while cloud host from several servers over the cloud. Every night, from 01 to 03 o'clock the log number turns to zero (only local NLS logs). Then at 3 o'clock every nxlog re-start to send.

I have no scheduled downtime about VM or VPN...

How can I investigate the problem?

Regards,
Graziano.

I wonder how the log forwarders are set up on the hosts sending logs. Are they sending via a load balancer?
All I can think of is to get a pcap on NLS hosts when it works and when it doesn't. From that you can see which hosts and counts of events for each host.
Think about searching the internet about your question. It will give you a million possibilities in the blink of an eye.
