Hello,
We have a valid license of Nagios XI which we've been using for 3 years now. The modules in Nagios XI do not allow us to collect SQL log files so we installed the trial version of Nagios Log Server today. Everything is installed correctly, and I verified incoming logs from our SQL server but all I see are windows event logs.
We were under the impression that Nagios Log Server could also collect SQL log files as well (i.e., SQL Server Agent Logs, Database Mail Logs etc.). Is that not the case? Does it have that functionality and if so, what am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Peter
SQL logs using Nagios log server
Re: SQL logs using Nagios log server
Chances are SQL logs aren't set up automagically.
If the SQL logs are files you'd need to set them up manually.
Maybe have a look at how the log forwarder you're using is configured and add SQL logs to it's config.
