Comments not appearing after upgrade

The version when the comments were working is 5.6.8.
We view the comments when we click on the host or service. Please see screenshot attached.
I do not have a screenshot of how the comments looks like before the change but they definitely had the comments that we would put in as well.
When we change the view to view the same page in core the comments that we put in are visible.
can you please check what is causing this?

I tried multiple versions of XI and they all do the same thing. Version 5.6.10, 5.5.11 and 5.4.13.
I even reverted to a XI version 5.6.8 and the comment did not show up in the Service or Host Overview screen.
It only shows the Downtime details.
If you go to the Home > Scheduled Downtime menu, you do see the comment there?
