SNMP Monitoring of HP ProLiant ML350 G4

Post by AWS »

Hello,
I'm starting to work with SNMP monitoring. The server I wish to monitor (ProLiant ML350 G4) , monitors great with the built-in server wizard, but I want to watch the array status (which I can't see with the wizard - as far as I know). The server has the HP monitoring system management software installed and working. Where I am now stuck is finding the particular MIB and/or OID for the device HP 64-bit/133MHz dual channel ultra320 SCSI host bus adapter.

I've been to mibDepot.com and searched for HP... yeilded 77K hits... I'm not sure what I should be looking for so I can search for it.

I believe I need to be looking under "Object Identifiers" on THIS PAGE which then narrows down my choices to 8:
  • hp 1.3.6.1.4.1.11
    hpnsa 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.23
    hpnsaScsi 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.23.14
    hpnsaScsiAgent 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.23.14.2
    hpnsaScsiDev 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.23.14.4
    hpnsaScsiHba 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.23.14.3
    hpnsaScsiMibRev 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.23.14.1
    nm 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2
Any advice on which OID to use? Or am I doing this wrong and there is a better way to monitor this array? Thanks for your assistance.
