Sending alerts to a group email

Is there a way to get alerts sent to a distribution or group email ?
We currently have Nagios XI set to sync with AD.

You would want to create a new user (non-ad user) and set the email address to the distribution list.

Then login as the user once and setup all the settings for notification preferences.
