Linux Agent Install fails with Red Hat Identity Management

Post by tryoung1987 »

While installing the Linux agent on a RHEL 6 client that uses Red Hat IPA for user management I ran into an issue where the 2-usersgroups fails with saying the nagios user and group already exist. So, I just bypassed the usersgroups with running a touch installed-usersgroups, but I would imagine it is required I have the nagios user added. Do I just manually add or is there a way to integrate users that are on IPA or AD? Additionally, how long does it take to install a Linux agent typically?

If it reported the user already exists you should not have a problem.

It generally takes about 3 minuted to compile the agent and plugins
