Explorer.exe CRITICAL: critical(explorer.exe : stopped)

Hi Guy,

i have an encounter an problem in nagios XI for monitoring service for window and linux. Any expert can advice on this ...Many thanks

What is the question? It appears Nagios is monitoring this process are reporting when it is not running.

HI

we have check the explorer.exe is running on the window server. However it still keep receiving the false alarm. any idea to reduce the the false alarm ?

Below are the command to monitor the services.
check_windows_procstate!Explorer.EXE!!!!!!!

And you can confirm that Explorer.EXE never stopped running on these servers??

Which Windows version? explorer.exe is weird -- it only runs when a user is actually logged into the machine and NSClient++'s polling of that specific process can misbehave:

Agreed, this is not always a great process to monitor
